  1. Access to High-Quality CPE at Member Discounts
  2. LCPA’s CPE program provides you with hundreds of educational opportunities -- all at substantial member discounts. Whether you’re in industry, public practice, government, or education, you can choose from seminars, workshops and conferences, self-study and in-house courses, and chapter-sponsored CPE events to improve your professional and personal development. We also extend the member discount on CPE to you non-CPA staff members.

LCPA distributes our monthly In the Know CPE catalogs via mail and email to help you select the course topics, dates and locations that best serve your professional and educational needs. Individual brochures are also mailed featuring workshops, conferences and other special CPE events.

  3. Networking & Leadership Opportunities
  4. Networking is indispensable and key to your success. As an LCPA member, you have a wide-range of opportunities to network with your fellow CPAs. Involvement in local chapter activities and statewide committees and task forces enable you to network with other members who share your ideas, interests and concerns. These opportunities build valuable leadership skills and lifetime friendships. LCPA is one of the few state CPA societies to reimburse committee members for most expenses related to volunteer service.

  5. State Chapter Membership at No Extra Cost
  6. LCPA is comprised of nine geographic chapters. Chapter-sponsored activities (monthly meetings, programs for industry members, CPE, social events) allow you to conveniently network with colleagues.

  7. Savings on Products & Services You Need
  8. Take advantage of several outstanding member discount programs. Save on everything from CPE to document destruction to office supplies and everyday products and services to make your personal and professional life easier. CPAs look to the bottom line, and there’s no reason that you can’t be the one saving money.

  9. Lagniappe Member Magazine Delivered the Way You Like
  10. You’ll stay current on the issues affecting the CPA profession through LCPA’s print and online publications. Published nine times a year, the Society’s magazine, Lagniappe, brings members the latest technical and professional developments along with legislative updates. Choose to receive it in print, digitally, or both.

  11. Tax Alerts to Keep You Up to Date
  12. One of the most valuable LCPA services, Tax Alerts which provide "real-time” technical information. Distributed via email and posted online, Tax Alerts keep you informed of the latest tax interpretations affecting your practice and answer many questions regarding federal, state and local tax issues throughout the year.

  13. Advocacy to Preserve the Integrity of the CPA Designation
  14. The LCPA has built and maintained strong alliances with key organizations for the mutual benefit of all parties involved. Ongoing relationships with the State Board of CPAs of Louisiana, Internal Revenue Service, Louisiana Department of Revenue, and Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office help the LCPA keep up-to-date with new developments affecting busiess and the CPA profession. LCPA has organized a list of key LDR and IRS contacts to make communication easier.

  15. Career Resources to Keep You on the Path to Success
  16. Get access to resumes and job postings. LCPA members can post their resume to their record and customize the preferences. LCPA's classifieds remain one of the top-visited pages on our website listing job openings. Whether you're looking to find a job or fill a position, we can help.

  17. Peer Review to Maintain High Standards
  18. The Society administers the AICPA Peer Review program in which member firms who provide audit, compilation and review services are required to participate. LCPA’s Peer Review Program promotes and maintains high professional standards, while helping firms to enhance the quality of their practices.

  19. Meeting Room Facility Rental
  20. Your CPA Society has the perfect location for your next meeting, office party or training session. The Society’s classroom facilities are available to rent for daytime gatherings on days when CPE courses are not held. Enjoy the comfortable atmosphere at member-discounted rates.
